The mission of the recreation committee is to serve the needs of the community through quality parks and facilities and by offering life-long learning and entertainment through recreational and cultural programs.  The committee shall develop recreation programs, park/facility related projects, policies and the development of long-range planning for recreation and park needs of the community.  The committee shall seek to increase public awareness of the existence and value of park and recreation opportunities in the town in a manner representing Groton citizens.
