New Dog Licensing Fee

Per State Law and local Town Ordinance, all dogs need to be registered in the town in which they reside.  The State has increased their portion of the licensing fee by $2 to allocate additional funds to their low-cost rabies clinics, low-cost spay neuter clinics, and the continued enforcement of animal welfare issues.

Towns collect license fees and send the state their portion.

How do I obtain my dog license?

1) Come to the office with a valid Rabies Certificate and payment. Leave with your tag and license.

2) Use the drop-box next to the Town Clerk’s door, (open 24/7)  put a copy of your Rabies Cert. and payment in an envelope. Tag and license will be mailed back to you.

3) Mail your Rabies Certificate and payment. Tag and License will be mailed back to you.

A copy of the Rabies Certificate (not your vet bill) and $12 dollars,  ($16 if not spayed/neutered)

Deadline is April 1st
