First Baptist has had a spiritual impact in the Groton since its founding in 1860 through traditional New England worship, through the preaching and teaching the fundamentals of the faith, and by providing spiritually wholesome activities for the whole family. Sunday school, Bible studies, and Prayer Meetings and times of fellowship help build and strengthen our lives and our families.

United Methodist Church

Sunday Services: 11:00 A.M.

The Groton Methodist Church welcomes ALL people to come and worship God. Our church gathers on Sunday mornings, as well as for special services, particularly during the Easter and Christmas seasons. The Church invites all children each Sunday to help with our service by serving as an acolyte, greeters,  and by participating in the children's message.

We provide many outreaches to the community, such as the Summer Suppers, the Lumberjack Breakfast on Fall Foliage Day*, seasonal holiday baskets.

The Mission of the Groton United Methodist Church is to know and follow our Savior, Jesus Christ, and make Him known, by sharing His love, mercy and forgiveness with our community and our world.

This fellowship is the fruit of a week-long revival focused on learning how to walk as Jesus walked, as all Christians are commanded to do.

He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. I John 2:6.
