  • Town Plan Proposed Revisions:  In accordance with 24 V.S.A. §4384, the Town of Groton Planning Commission is making available a copy of the proposed amendment to Groton Town Plan and the required report. A Public Hearing has been scheduled for Monday, April 10, 2017, at the Groton Community Building, 1476 Scott Highway, at 6:00 pm to solicit public comment on the proposal. If there are any questions or comments on the plan or the upcoming public hearing, please contact: Carrie Peters at grotonvtplanning@gmail.com or 802-584-3276. The plan, as amended from the one that expired in 2014, has been found to be consistent with the goals established in 24 V.S.A. §4302 in guiding the town for the next 8 years. Proposed Plan.  Proposed Plan Maps: Natural Resource Constraints Map; Proposed Base Map; Proposed Land Cover Map; Proposed Ortho Map Proposed Soils Map.

  • The Town of Groton, VT is accepting proposals for the following:

    1. 2017 Stone Products for Highway use. Deadline 4/6/2017 by 5:00 PM

    2. 2017 Road Side Mowing Deadline is 4/6/2017 by 5:00 PM

    3. 2017 Liquid Calcium Chloride 35%  Deadline is 4/6/2017 by 5:00 PM

  • Sat, Mar 18: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm Groton Growers Farmers Market. Join us for a Festive Market: Baked Goods, Seasonal Vegetables, Artisan Cheese, Maple Products, Jam & Jellies, Breads, Farm Fresh Eggs, Jewelry, Crafts & Gift Items. Eat Local, Buy Local, Support Local! Flyer!

  • Sat Apr 1: Donut Making and Sugar on Snow Party at the Peter Paul House at 10:30 AM. Janet Page and Linda Nunn will demonstrate donut making and Deane Page will make sugar on snow using the wood cook stove. All Welcome!

  • Sat, Apr 1: all dogs must be licensed!  $10.00 fine per dog if late. Licenses can be obtained from the Town Clerk at the Groton Community Building.

  • Mon, Apr 10: Public Hearing on the Town Plan at the Groton Community Building, 1476 Scott Highway, at 6:00 pm.  Proposed Plan

  • Thurs, Apr 20:  Lasagna Supper at the Groton Methodist Church by the famous Church ladies!  It is a third Thursday supper!  Lasagna/ salad/ garlic bread/ and Brownies. Come eat in or take out. 4:30 - 6:30 pm. By donation. In the center of Groton on Route 302.
