  • Rail Road Bed Activity: The Town of Groton is working on the process of converting the Rail Road Bed into an Official Trail. There are many reasons to protect the RR Bed which is used for recreation and emergencies, including ongoing maintenance and emergency repair. Please join us for the start of this public process on Friday, December 1st at 6 pm in the kitchen of the community building in Groton. Contact is Deborah Jurist 584-3049.

  • Groton Town offices will be closed Wednesday 11/22 through 11/24, opening again on Monday, 11/27. 

  • Property Taxes: If Property Taxes weren’t paid by 11/3 5:00pm EST. please contact Collector of Delinquent taxes Carrie Peters. cdt@grotonvt.com

  • MyFarmersMarket and Mountain Man Pizza are now open at the site of the former Brown's Bistro.  Hours are year round: Tues-Wed 9 to 6,

  • Gentle Hands Midwifery has now opened a location in Groton in the same building as MyFarmersMarket. Call 802.279.3158.

  • The Groton Listers are utilizing software by CAI Technologies to provide online tax maps and assessments for Groton. To utilize this capability, click on "Listers / Tax Maps" in the left column of this page.

  • Thurs, Nov 16: Groton Methodist Church Third Thursday Supper by the famous Church ladies!  Chicken Pie, Mashed Potatoes, Squash, and Pumpkin Dessert. Come eat in or take out.  5:30 until 7:00 or until food runs out. By donation. In the center of Groton on Route 302.
  • Fri, Dec 1: Railroad Bed Committee initial meeting at 6:00 pm at the Groton Community Building.  See description above.
