  • Summer Book Sale at the Library!

  • The Groton town wide Reappraisal will begin Thursday, July 5th. The reappraisals will be done by the Vermont Appraisal Company. The appraisers for VAC will be starting interior and exterior inspections at Lake Groton on July 5th. When they have completed the Pond, we will notify you all as to what area they will be working in next. More information.  Notification which was sent to Groton property owners on June 7th. Copy of the notification.

  • First Time Happy Campers Program is a new program by Vermont State Parks at five parks during the months of July and August. Stillwater State Park in Groton is one of them. Created in partnership with the Outdoor Gear Exchange, this program provides free camping for new campers, whose names will be chosen at random when they register through https://www.vtstateparks.com/happy-camper.html.

  • Free Intro to Taekwondo class: Co-sponsored by Groton Recreation Committee & Groton Blue Wave TKD. Every Sunday morning from 8:00-9:00 from June 24th through July 15th at the Groton Community Building.
    Wear comfortable clothes, bring water, and expect to have a fun time!  All ages & physical abilities welcome. Free & family-friendly!

  • The Groton Forest Trail Run will take place Saturday, Sept 8th. There will be 26.5 and 15 Mile runs throughout the Forest starting at Boulder Beach. Sponsors: Cross Vermont Trail Association.   More information including course description and online registration.

  • Thurs, Jul 19: Church Summer Supper at the Groton Methodist Church. 5:30 pm until all are served. Covered dishes by the famous "Church Ladies" - great eating!  Roasted Meat, Hot dishes, Casseroles, Salads, Rolls, and Pies. By donation. Summer Suppers are July 12th -Aug 16th.
  • Mon., Aug 6: Library Trustees - The Board of Trustees will have their monthly meeting at 7pm; meetings now taking place on the First Monday of every month. See Library website for additional meeting information for the Library.
  • Mon, Aug 13: BMU Public Hearing at 7:00 pm at BMU. Click here.
  • Tues, Aug 14: BMU Advisory Vote.  Click here.
  • Sat, Sept 1: Banjo Dan and the Sky Blue Boys Concert and chicken barbecue at the Bandstand in Groton!  Bring the family. 5:30pm.
  • Sat, Sept 8: Groton Forest Trail Run will take place. See more information above.
