  • The Selectboard meeting scheduled for October 20th has been Postponed until November 3rd at 6:30 PM.
  • Foliage Drone video of Groton State Forest by Green Mountain Drone in Cabot.
  • Natural Shorelands Erosion Control Certification course to be given throughout November.  This voluntary certification course teaches landscaping tech-niques that control stormwater runoff and conserve wildlife habi-tat, which are essential shoreland development practices for protecting Vermont lakes. Information sheet.

  • Wed, Oct 26: ATV Informational Meeting at the Community Building. 6:00 pm.
  • Fri, Nov 4 - Property Taxes due by 5:00 p.m. at the town clerk or town treasurer's office at Groton Town Hall. Postmarks are not accepted as timely payment. Payments for Current Property Taxes (not delinquent taxes) can now also be made by credit card or e-check - click here for more information.
  • Tues, Nov 8: General Election.  Polling Place: 1476 Scott Hwy, Groton Community Gym, open 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Warning and information.
  • Thurs, Nov 17, Special Town Meeting in the gymnasium of the Community Building at 6:00 pm to consider an article on prayer on Town Meeting Day: "Shall the town of Groton vote to set aside a 15 minute period, beginning 30 minutes and ending 15 minutes before Town Meeting is scheduled to begin as the sole designated period for interested individuals to gather to offer words of encouragement through prayer, poetry, or other personal expressions of gratitude?"
