  • The State Board of Education has voted to provisionally, until final approval of the entire State Plan by November 30th, to keep BMU an independent district under the umbrella of Orange East SU. This means that BMU will not merge with Bradford, Newbury, and Oxbow. The vote was 8-0 in support of BMU remaining an independent district. The video of the SBE 10/17/18 meeting is available. BMU is section 9 at 03:30:20

  • Groton Lunches with Friends (a variation of Senior Meals) will be starting sometime in November, Thursdays at noon in Groton. Watch for the starting Date – it will be posted on this website. Volunteers are welcome!  Contact Jean Denson at 584-3365. We hope to see you all there!

  • Groton property tax bills have been mailed as of 8/31/18 and taxes are due 11/9 by 5:00pm EST at the Town Treasurer's office.

  • The Groton town wide Reappraisal is in process. The reappraisals will be done by the Vermont Appraisal Company.  More information.  Notification was sent to Groton property owners on June 7th. Copy of the notification. As of 10/17, properties off of main roads such as Route 302 are currently being examined.
