  • 2nd Annual Fall Foliage 5k Run/Walk in Groton Saturday, Oct 4th at 9:30am. Race on scenic, flat course.  Raffle and Prizes for Winners! $10.00 Registration.  Registration time is 7:30am-8:30am at white tent at Powder Spring Rd. on Vermont Cross Trail – quarter mile south of Rte 302. All proceeds to benefit the Groton Recreation Committee Fund.

  • Saturday, Oct. 4 the Groton Library’s online card catalog will “GO LIVE!” Come on in during the Fall Foliage festivities for a new library card complete with an official barcode. Enjoy the benefits of our local library going online!

  • Sept 27: Foliage Bike Ride on the Cross Vermont Trail from Groton State Forest to the Wells River Conservation Area. Easy going, family friendly, mostly down hill. Follow the Wells River from it's source to the Connecticut River. For more information, click Here.
  • Sat, Sept 27: Groton Growers Farmers Market from 9 to 1 on the lawn of the Groton Community Building on Route 302.
  • Thurs, Oct 2 - Community Building Gym setup at 6:30 pm of tables,  chairs and place settings for the Foliage supper.  All welcome!
  • Fri, Oct 3: Annual Fall Foliage Book Sale at the Library, 2-7pm.
  • Fri, Oct 3: Veggie prep in the kitchen of the Community Building at 6:30 pm. Bring a paring knife - All welcome!
  • Sat, Oct 4: Groton Fall Foliage Day- Lumberjack Breakfast and Chicken Pie Supper
  • Thurs, Oct 9 - Flu Clinic at 25 Clarks Landing. 10:00 - noon.  Medicare and Medicaid accepted - please bring you card - cost is $41. Open to the public by Caledonia Home Health & Hospice (800-924-8116).
  • Fri, Oct 10 - Property Taxes due by 5:00 p.m. at the town clerk or town treasurer's office at Groton Town Hall. Postmarks are not accepted as timely payment. Payments for Current Property Taxes (not delinquent taxes) can now also be made by credit card or e-check - click here for more information.
