First Baptist has had a spiritual impact in the Groton
since its founding in 1860 through traditional New England worship, through the
preaching and teaching the fundamentals of the faith, and by providing
spiritually wholesome activities for the whole family. Sunday school, Bible
studies, and Prayer Meetings and times of fellowship help build and strengthen
our lives and our families.

Sunday Services
Normally 10:30 morning
worship service. In 2016, the Groton
Methodist Church and the New Hope Methodist Church of Waitsfield are worshiping
together on the first Sunday of every month and the fifth Sunday of the month
if there is one. The joint services are held at 9:30 am and the location
alternates between the two churches. A specific schedule is
attached. Please join us!
The Groton Methodist Church welcomes all people
to come and worship God. Our church gathers on Sunday mornings, as well as for
special services, particularly during the Easter and Christmas seasons. The
Church invites all children each Sunday to help with our service by acolyting, and by participating in the children's message
and church school.
We provide
many outreaches to the community, such as the Summer Suppers, the Lumberjack
Breakfast on Fall Foliage Day, seasonal holiday baskets and the delivery of
tapes of the service.
The Mission of the Groton United Methodist Church is to
know and follow our Savior, Jesus Christ, and make Him known, by sharing His
love, mercy and forgiveness with our community and our world.

This fellowship is the fruit of a week-long revival focused on learning how to walk as Jesus walked, as all Christians are commanded to do.
He
that saith he abideth in
him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. I John 2:6.
