These agencies or organizations are sponsored in part by the town of Groton to provide services as needed to itís residents.  An overview of their services as is follows:

 

         Little Rivers Health Carestate benefits, housing, transportation and numerous other personal needs

 

         Home Health Care & Hospice:  in the home medical assistance

 

         Northeast Kingdom Human Services: mental health, substance abuse, and developmental services

 

         Agency of Human Services, Department for Children and Families: child care, child support child abuse also help with food and fuel

 

         Council on Agingsupport to seniors 60 and older

 

         Groton Food Shelf: food and some household supplies

 

         Rural Community TransportationTransportation

 

         Umbrella: Services for Women and Families

 

         AARP Tax-Aide: free assistance for federal and state returns

  

Vermont 2-1-1.  The above and other community resources can be accessed by dialing 2-1-1 or visiting www.vermont211.org.  Vermont 2-1-1 is a program of the United Ways of Vermont.  It is an information and referral program serving all Vermonters.
