Groton Fall Foliage Festival 2009

 

Groton is one of seven towns of the Northeast Kingdom which cordially invites you to visit at Fall Foliage time.  Each town has its Festival day and Saturday, October 3rd  is the Groton Fall Foliage Festival Day.

 GROTON - SATURDAY, OCT. 3
Join us in Groton for our Festival Day.  Start with a Lumberjack Breakfast at the Methodist Church from 7-10 a.m.  Visit our new Library, where there will be a book sale throughout the day.  McClure’s Band will perform at the bandstand at 11 a.m.  Boy Scout Troop #702 will serve a light lunch on the Methodist Church lawn. Our Annual Parade starts at 1:30 p.m.  Browse in the Peter Paul Historical House anytime during the day.  Participate in the Old Fashioned Hymn Sing at the Baptist Church at 8 p.m. to close the day.  Serving times for our Famous Chicken Pie Supper are 4:30, 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.  Tickets are available after July 1 at $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12.  You must make reservations.  Contact Peter Lyon, 848 West Shore Drive, Groton, VT 05046. 802-584-3020.
